How to Contribute
Support a resident-focused Ward 5 campaign.
The campaign does not accept cash contributions. Eligible contributions may be made by Interac e-Transfer to the campaign email below.
Please include your full name, residential address, phone number and email address so the campaign can verify eligibility, maintain the required records and issue a contribution receipt.
Important: Contributions must come from the contributor's own funds. Do not send a contribution from a corporation, business, association or another person's funds.
Ontario contribution rules
- Only individuals who are normally residents of Ontario may contribute to a candidate, subject to the limited spouse exception in Ontario's rules.
- Corporations, trade unions, clubs, associations and other organizations cannot contribute to a candidate.
- A contributor may give no more than $5,000 in total to candidates running for offices on the same council.
- Ontario law permits cash only in limited circumstances, but this campaign has chosen not to accept cash contributions. Please use Interac e-Transfer instead.
- Contributions must come from the contributor's own funds.
- The campaign must issue a receipt for every contribution received.
- If a contributor's total contributions to the campaign exceed $100, the contributor's name and address will appear on the public financial statement.
- Municipal campaign contributions are not tax deductible.
Interac e-Transfer is an acceptable electronic payment method when it clearly identifies the source of the funds. All monetary contributions must be deposited into the campaign bank account.
